Biography of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky




 1. Volodymyr Zelenskyy is the 6th and current President of Ukraine, inaugurated on 20 May 2019.

He is a well-known Ukrainian comedian, actor, writer and producer, best known for playing the role of a teacher-turned-president in the popular Ukrainian television series Servant of the People. 3. Zelenskyy was born in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, on 25 January 1978. 4. He graduated from the Kyiv National Economic University in 2002 with a degree in Law. 5. Zelenskyys first job was a lawyer in a private firm. 6. He then moved to television, where he wrote and produced his own television show called Kvartal 95. 7. Kvartal 95 was a huge success and won several awards, including the prestigious Soros Foundation Award. 8. In 2003, he was named one of the 100 most influential people in Ukraine. 9. Zelenskyy is married to his wife Olena, who is a lawyer and mother of their two children. 10. He is a member of the Servant of the People political party. 11. He is the first Ukrainian president to come from the show business and media sector. 12. He is the youngest president in the history of Ukraine. 13. He was elected president of Ukraine with 73.2% of the popular vote. 14. He is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and English. 15. Zelenskyy was officially endorsed by the former president Petro Poroshenko. 16. Zelenskyy is an avid soccer fan and supports the Ukrainian national team. 17. Zelenskyy is known for his anti-corruption stance and has vowed to fight for political and economic reform in Ukraine. 18. He has vowed to improve the economy, create jobs and reduce corruption. 19. His platform includes plans to reduce the cost of living and increase wages. 20. He is an advocate of EU integration and has worked to strengthen Ukraine-NATO relations. 21.
